No, never! It is, though, in my plans. England (and Scotland) are places I would really like to visit and tour on a bike. For such a trip, though, three weeks to a month would be the minimum time required. I don't know if I can set aside so much time this year... but then again... who knows?

Ce n'est pas la destination qui compte le plus, mais le voyage là-bas. La destination mai même changer au cours de planification. Alors, s'il vous plaît, n' hésitez pas à proposer d'autres destinations, ainsi que des itinéraires alternatifs pour y aller. Il est encore très tôt et tout mai encore changer.

Est-ce ici la place exact d'envoyer une telle chose, ou devrais-je la poste à une autre catégorie?

Yes, it was really spectacular! It was during the last days of our Journey, on the return route. We camped for the night in Saint-Sauver-Sur-Tinee (which is one of the first villages you meet as you climb down from La Bonette, heading south), and from there, the next morning, we went non-stop to Nice, Genoa, La Spezia, Pisa, and Siena. We spent two nights at Siena and from there we went to Ancona (through Urbino) to take the boat back to Greece (Patras).

What a nice surprise! I knew this forum was a good address to join, but I never thought for a moment that would be a way to improve my english!
So welcome to the craziest french motorcycle newsgroup!

Concerning your trip plans, I do confirm that South Alpes and South Coast (from Nice to Toulon) are a real delight for sight... and for your wheels!!
A perfect mix of beautiful sceneries and hilly sinuous roads... On top of this, add a non stop burning sun (on summer... of course...), a great variety of cooking specialities... And your trip can only be a success! Wer'e talking about the South Alpes, but it is the same (but nevertheless different! ) in the North, around Grenoble (Le Vercors, La chartreuse), Chambery, Le Bourget, Annecy (a city I love so much, with its mountains and its beautiful blue lake), and whole Savoie and Haute-Savoie, until Switzerland, which offers so nice views too... I lived in there for some (too short) years, and I'll always have good memories of it... I come from Ardèche (which is beautiful too, as Freedy told you! ), and the whole trip from home to there is a delight...
I had planned a trip to there on last sunday, but weather forcast wasn't very reassuring (I told you about the summer sun, but be careful with the heavy and abundant winter snow! ). We'll do it another time, for sure!!

One bike ride that I really appreciated was when I went down to "Vassivières" Lake in the "Massif centrale" - the mountains that are right in the center of France
